Catch up with the notable professional World Rally Driver Alister.

After nearly 80 WRC Rallies and 26 years in motorsport McRae has the need for speed “I’ve got to use my experience and pace myself, outright speed itself is not enough to win. You have to be mentally aware and engaged. LOCO energy keeps my focus at the redline, supercharging my mind”.

I am Alister McRae a professional WRC driver.

As a twelve year old boy I had my first taste of motor sports competing in motorcross and trial biking across Scotland where I was born. Rallying is where I really showcased my skills as a driver. I debuted in the 1992 RAC Rally and i’ve never looked back. My father Jimmy McRae (five time British champion) and brother (the late Colin McRae 1995 WRC champion) were born with this in our blood.

Clocking up over 150 international rally events including 80 World Championship, my passion, skill and determination drive me further still.

Born: December 20th, 1970 (age 45), in Lanark, Lanarkshire, Scotland.

Current Team: APRC IRC & WRC (for Proton)

Sponsors: LOCO Energy Drink
